  • I AM

Pastor Brandon challenged us on Sunday, February 26 to make sure, above all else, when we are discerning our calling and where God wants to refine us, that we know who sent us, who is with us.  God told Moses to tell the Israelites, "I am sent me."  This statement means nothing if we do not know who I am is.

Read the following scriptures where God tells us who He is.  How does He show himself to you in these ways He described Himself and what does a relationship based on these things look like fleshed out in our lives?

Isaiah 43:3-4 I am the Lord your God, the holy God of Israel, who saves you.  I will give up whole nations to save you life, because you are precious to me and because I love you.

Isaiah 41:10 Don't be afraid, for I am with you.  Don't be discouraged for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you.  I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Exodus 34:6  Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy.  I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.

John 6:35 Jesus replied, "I am the bread of life.  Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again.  Whoever believes in my will never be thirsty."

Exodus 15:26 ...I am the Lord who heals you

Revelation 1:8 I am the Alpha and the Omega-the beginning and end.  I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still the come.  The Almighty One.

John 10:11 I am the good shepherd.  The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the seep.

Genesis 46:3 I m God.  The God of your father.  Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for there I will make your family into a great nation.

John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one can come to the father except through me.

Isaiah 45:5-6 I am the Lord; there is no other God.  I equipped you for battle, though you don't even know me, so all the world from east to west will know there is no other God.  I am the Lord and there is no other.

John 11:25 i am the resurrection and the life.  Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.

Ezekiel 12:25 For I am the Lord! If I say it will happen, it will happen.

Isaiah 51:12 I, yes I, am the one who comforts you.  So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear?

Malachi 3:6 I am the Lord, and I do not change.

Exodus 3:14 I am who I am.  This is what you are to say to the Israelites.  I am has sent me to you.
